Some of the criminals I was familiar with from other books on capital punishment but many I'd not come across before.
The author seemed to spend more space on some although it is not clear why. There was some repetition which was unnecessary but my biggest gripe was the poor editing. Each one tells of the crime committed and the punishment received and Clark gives context to each detailing how this fits with the time and the response from the public, if there was one.
